On our way back to Moscow, traveling up the Payette River, we came to a beautiful, small community nestled in a high mountain valley surrounded by tall, snow-covered mountains next to a large, man-made lake. We stopped in this community, drove to the docks at the lake shore, and as my family sat with their feet dangling in the clear, cold, blue water of Cascade Reservoir, we looked at each other and decided this was the "Idaho" we loved. 'Lo and behold, I interviewed in this town, Cascade, Idaho, and began my career as a science teacher eight years ago.
