I was born and raised in Idaho and have come to really love and respect the cold, clear, clean, fresh water, and natural resources our state has to offer. I love the quality of life these resources make possible. I remember in 1967, when I was in high school taking a trip to Philmont, N.M. with the boy scouts and bragging to all the scouts we met from all over the nation that: "We're from Idaho. We can still drink the water from the creeks." I don't think it would be wise to drink from the creeks these days.
