We are in the process of setting up a Shimadzu Gas Chromatograph. Chromatography is the process of analyzing the lipids extracted from the soxlet to determine the fatty acid composition. Based on the types of fatty acids, or lipids, we will be able to determine if our algae will be good candidates for producing bio-fuel.
